Sure, the rules are great. The Constitution is wonderful. But what if there is no authority to appeal to? We’ll see what come of the rash of investigations underway in DC… but I am feeling a bit jaded.

One important thing to consider here is that, in Latin America for instance, phone harrassment, little “presents” left on your doorstep, etc., are too-often only the prelude to something far worse — i.e. these scum have to ‘psych’ themselves up first… This is what this guy is doing here (attempting, anyway). Whether he has the guts to follow-thru on this is another question — as it loox like he has a list of targets he can’t even carry inside his wallet anymore. But this is certainly the reason why Stan Goff has felt compelled to post this tripe publicly.

And as for treason: this malignant concept should be ruthlessly deconstructed from a class vantage-point. I myself owe no allegiance whatsoever to the capitalist class, for instance. They are simply the class enemy. So screw them and their New World Order — where’s the barricades at?

Second…. let me put on my gender-hat for a friendly critique of supporters.

Just stuff to think about. “Whorehouse” A good feminist friend pointed this out to me, so I’m passing this along. Using this as an epithet devalues not a single pimp or john, who are the exploiters in real whorehouses. It devalues the women, who ARE exploited, suggesting that the moral failure is theirs… a kind of blame the victim thing. In fact, given my own background in the military I still have to think twice before using invective to make sure that I am not reinforcing patriarchal constructions. On the same note, Weinert is not on the site (though I suspect given his obssessive-compulsive character he has checked it). No sense in getting into a dick-measuring contest with him about who is the baddest… another reaction I myself have to struggle against… there is still a boy in me that wants to prove himself in physical conflict even if I am a small middle-aged man.

The main reason I posted was as a kind of insurance. It’s easy to poke fun at people like this, and ignore the fact that they might be loony enough to act on their bizarre ideations. On the other hand, I can’t see letting them rent space in my head, or allowing them to provoke actual fear. So posting his stuff seemed a way to strike the balance.

I admit I acted on the adolescent impulse to fuck with him a bit, but perhaps if people are ridiculed for this kind of bluster they’ll stop it. Some people ARE intimidated by this crap, so neutralizing it as much as possible seems the right thing to do. No one should have to walk in fear for their convictions, and everyone can’t be expected to have a solider’s fatalism.

Another thing, I imagine you think everyone in Iran is a bunch of killers wanting to attack America. You probably only look at the rotton things the Palestinians have done. There are two sides. I’m not taking sides on that, but did you know that after our 9-11 horror, Iranian were marching in the streets in support of the Americans with the worldwide sentiment that “we are all Americans now” ? Well, all that followed was an opprtunity for all those that could make boo coo bucks, Bush family included (look up Carlyle Group on your search engine).

Look, I’m giving you credit that maybe you’re just convoluted in your “self righteousness”. Your warring spirit is grotesquely misplaced. I’m also giving yo credit that you are capable of opening your mind up to logic.

I had to admit to myself I made a terrible mistake when I believed my president, and cheered for the war believing all the while that we had these microscopicly precise weapons that only killed the bad guys. That was another lie. I had to acknowledge my naivite’ It took a while to wrap my mind around that reality.

So, I’m taking a chance that you have a speck of decency somewhere inside you to consider another perspective. Everyone has some decency inside them. Just connect with it.
