This is just a plain old action-step appeal. Monday, May 1, 2006, millions of Latin@s all over the United States will walk off the job and out of school and not buy anything anywhere. This is one of the most momentous movements we will see in our lifetimes.

Two main points need to be made on this Iran issue. (1) The Bush Administration is not the latest embodiment of the Illuminati that acts independently of its ruling class base. (2) Iran is over a decade away from being able to make a nuclear weapon. Now, these need to be fleshed out a bit.

When I taught Military Science at the United States Military Academy at West Point, back in another life, one of the classes was about Sherman’s arsonist “march to the sea.” But the arson — which is all that seems to be remembered — was really part of a strategy that prefigured the strategic bombing of WWII… …Our [leftist] shibboleths are as sacralized and faith-based as the belief in transmogrification until we have seriously studied this possibility, and that begins with a real commitment to set aside our assumptions long enough to become genuinely familiar with what radical feminism has to say.

What a great launch for this new blog. Debunking a right-wing internet hoax… domestic violence in the military… women and media policy… pop culture commentary… Botox… media & workplace discrimination… women, media, and drugs… reducing attempted murder charges agaisnt batterers… Larry King is a moron… the social bases of chronic fatigue syndrome… this is a very good blog.

Okay, get ready for some really beyond the pale shit. From Rebecca to De to me… and now to you all. Rape… now pay attention… rape as a convicted crime is mitigated by having been in combat… because the “prolonged psychological stress to which the accused was subjected and the lowered importance he ended up giving to the life and wellbeing of those around him can only have influenced the committing of the crimes.”
There we have it. A judge has declared that not only does war promote sociopathic behavior, one can have the severity of a criminal sentence reduced because the perpetrator was victimzed by the experience of war. In this case, the crime was beating, then handcuffing, then vaginally and anally raping, then leaving a woman to wander the streets naked.

The video surveillance tape that “escaped” from the Bay County Juvie Facility in Panama City, Florida documented that the entire Bush dynasty is comfortable overseeing systems that employ torutre and extrajudicial execution as a method for exercising their control.

I just had to type this up. This is so incredibly CLEAR. Sometimes something grabs you that way, and it has to be shared. (-:

It’s very interesting seeing that comrades who often seem to have all
the answers for Latinos everywhere else in this continent have so
little of substance to say in analyzing the biggest mass movement in
many decades when it explodes onto the political stage of their home
turf.

[great cross-post from De Clarke]
it isn’t only “spacemen” who need to learn how to live in a closed system: we all do. learning how very difficult it is to construct artificial viable closed systems, to recirculate oxygen and water and so forth, may be of some use in opening our eyes to the tremendous value and importance of the natural biotic systems that sustain our life; so I don’t say that these efforts are wholly worthless. but every branch of the life sciences is about understanding a closed system. it’s our failure to realize this that has hampered our efforts so far and encouraged us in a fragmented, compartmentalized view of what are actually highly complex, interrelated subsystems of a highly functional whole. I’d go so far as to assert that our economists’ dangerous fantasy of “externalised costs” is a direct consequence of not understanding what “closed system” means, or that we live in one.

Herein I am going on record in support of Senator George Allen’s demand that Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin be given the to soon-to-be-vacant post of Special Operations Commander now held by General Bryan “Doug” Brown.
