THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

This is some of the most remarkable historical footage ever filmed… as well as an inspirational documentary.

Ruby and I saw this at the Carolina Theater in Durham a few years ago. A wonderful film that shows the humanity of Venezuela’s struggle against neo-liberalism. I hope it opens peoples eyes. Very cool that its all online.

I thought it was available online for a long time. I was certainly able to download the entire thing in spanish a couple of years ago. Not so sure about the english version.

And it’s a good thing that we are moving towards having all progressive video and audio available for everyone online, for the cost of their regular monthly flat-rate Internet connection. _There_ you have one excellent way to reach the masses when they finally get really curious about what’s behind all the lies and scandal — at least until this all gets banned by the Geheime Staats-Polizei (translation: Homeland Sekuretat). And then it’s likely back to things like samizdat: e.g. the surreptitious passing of burned CD-Rs/DVDs/memory stix/printouts…

Back to the Future, it is. And it won’t be on TV either (tho’ maybe late-nite cable… ;)
