I don't mean to be all conspiratorial here, but only two things come to mind: 1) Dumb kids (like the last thing any Muslim convention in the US wants is a bunch of 26 year olds recruiting for their silly antics over-seas(?)*) 2) Set-up (racist ones, primarily). The article is pure yellow journalism. "Accused" and yet "Foiled", etc., etc. Anti-Arab, anti-Persian, anti-Islam (ET CETERA)... I can't think of uglier things right now. Among myriad others. Ugh... Just thought I'd bring it up. Might want to see this, too, from within America:
