…to attend the Winter Soldier Hearing.
From March 13-16, in Silver Springs, MD, representatives of a veterans’ organization will be offering testimony about their participation in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This organization has more than 800 members, organized into 48 chapters in 41 states. They would like for any and all of you to attend.
All of you have made considerable noise about veterans, about the war, and about foreign policy. We believe you would profit by listening to what these veterans will have to say about their first-hand experiences of the war. You all have also made considerable noise about honesty and courage and facing hard facts, etc., etc., etc.
Can you be honest enough and courageous enough to take the political risk associated with giving this group of veterans your attention, with meeting them, and with answering the questions they might pose to you about what you would do as Commander-in-Chief?
We will know — by who and who does not attend — the answer to that question.
And Iraq Veterans Against the War will be pointing out who does and does not attend during the hearings.
